Stacey – Chief Executive for Healthwatch Kirklees and Healthwatch Calderdale

I have worked for Healthwatch since 2015 and I’m the Chief Executive for Healthwatch Kirklees and Healthwatch Calderdale. I graduated from Huddersfield University with a degree in Marketing and I have previously worked within the pharmaceutical and dentistry sector.
My role at Healthwatch is to advocate and champion the voices and experiences of local people with NHS and social care managers.
I am passionate about patient voice and ensure that people’s stories provide learning and improvements to local services.
In my spare time, I enjoy blogging, being at the beach, and relaxing with a good book.

Clare – Kirklees Head of Service

I’ve worked with Healthwatch since it started in 2013. I’m still working for the organisation because I have a passion for championing the voice of people in our local communities, particularly those who are often overlooked.
Working alongside amazing colleagues and volunteers who are kind, knowledgeable, and skilled makes my role fulfilling. Together, we work to provide the best possible service to local residents, aiming to make a difference and improve services for all.
When I’m not at work I love running and I’m proud to say I’m in the 1% of the population who have run a marathon! I also volunteer for Dewsbury Cares Community Group, helping to support unsheltered and vulnerable people.

Katherine – Volunteering and Engagement Officer & Enter and View Lead

I have worked for Healthwatch Kirklees since 2014. I am responsible for the recruiting, supervising and the supporting of our wonderful volunteering team. My aim is for all our volunteers to achieve their potential while having a fun and positive volunteering experience. Lets hope we have got it right!
I take the lead on our Enter and View visits which are something I’m also very passionate about. Its important to me to make sure that health and social care services listen to the voices of the people using their services.
In my spare time I volunteer for a local charity which I enjoy.
I feel time best spent for me is with family and friends laughing or enjoying the many walks in our local area.
I love nothing more than travelling to new places and sampling the local cuisine near and far.
I enjoy working for Healthwatch its good to work with vibrant, happy team.

Joanne – Calderdale Engagement and Information Officer

I have worked for Healthwatch Calderdale since May 2018 and work as an Engagement and Information Officer.
I help provide information about local health services in response to queries from the general public; support people to have their say on health services and feedback on their experiences.
I also work on wider engagement projects, using people’s stories and experiences to highlight where change can be made in the health service.
I previously worked as a journalist at newspapers in West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester.
I am a volunteer with the Scouts and am interested in supporting children to get the best start in life, helping young people to be active and engaged in their community.
My areas of interest are in early years and women’s services.

Alexandra – Kirklees and Calderdale Engagement & Information Officer

I joined the Healthwatch team in April 2022 as an Information and Engagement Officer for both Calderdale and Kirklees.
I came to the team with over a decade of experience of working in social care and have a passion to help people within the community, particularly vulnerable individuals, whose voices aren’t always heard.
I have really enjoyed joining this fun-loving and caring team!
When I’m not at work you’ll usually find me in the kitchen baking (sometimes burning) yummy treats!

I joined Healthwatch in January 2026 in the role of an engagement and information officer. I have background in community, public health and social care. I’m really passionate about leading change and helping people feel heard, especially those whose voices are often overlooked.

I have worked across a range of community projects and genuinely enjoy supporting people to share experiences and have their say on the services that effect their lives.

Outside work, I love spending time with my family and making memories together. I enjoy cooking, hosting dinner parties and games nights. I also spend some of my spare time researching topics I am passionate about.

Amy Libell – Maternity & Neonatal Voice Partnership Lead

Before joining Healthwatch I worked for over a decade in the charity sector, in youth leadership and volunteer management. Following my own experiences during pregnancy, birth and postnatally I decided to shift my focus, and have been leading the Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership since 2021. It’s my job to gather feedback from women, birthing people and their families, from across Calderdale and Kirklees, including those who are seldom reached. I then aim to bring service users together with staff from hospitals and other organisations to make improvements, e.g. to visiting hours, how staff communicate and the environment within hospitals. When I’m not talking about pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period, you’ll find me on outdoor adventures with my family – I have three young daughters and a springerdoodle called Bella – or at the book club I run in Huddersfield.

Mark – Office Administrator

I have been with Healthwatch since September 2022 as the Office Administrator for both Kirklees and Calderdale. I have a background of working in health and social care administration since 1996 and being a full-time carer for ten years for my mother.
I particularly enjoy the variety of my work with Healthwatch and it is definitely true that no two days are ever the same.
Most of my spare time is spent listening to music and restoring historical recordings to newer formats.

Ed – Data Analyst

I joined the lovely Healthwatch Kirklees and Calderdale team in January 2026 as a Data Analyst. I am passionate about helping improve the quality of care for people within the community and making sure they get the necessary support to live a healthy and happy life. Within my role, I am responsible for identifying actionable insights from the range of people’s feedback we receive, as well as turning data into clear and digestible visualisations to paint a picture of how people are feeling about their health and social care experiences. Outside of work, I am normally throwing or kicking a ball around, going on nice walks and drives in the countryside, or relaxing watching a cosy movie on the sofa!

My role involves all things communication, whether visual, audio, written, etc. It is my job to make sure you hear about all of the great things that we do through a range of channels (like reports, social media, our website, newsletters, and posters).
I am obsessed with film, television, reading. I will always stop for a chat about what you have watched or read.
