What is the Kirklees Health & Wellbeing strategy?
The vision for Kirklees is to help everyone who lives, works, or studies here to live their best life – with good health and wellbeing, and without facing unfair treatment, stigma, or other barriers.
The Kirklees Health & Wellbeing strategy (2022-2027) focuses to achieve four outcomes for people who live, work, and study in Kirklees.
The strategy also highlights three main priorities: improving mental wellbeing, creating healthy places to live, and joining up care and support.
This will guide how we tackle the things that affect your health and wellbeing – like inequality, inclusion, poverty, housing, digital access, and climate issues – with a strong focus on listening to what matters to local people.
How have we effected the strategy?
We’ve supported the health and wellbeing strategy by making sure local people’s voices are heard and taken seriously. We’ve done this by gathering feedback from the community and sharing it with the health and wellbeing board. This helps make sure future health and care plans reflect the real needs and experiences of local people. By sharing these voices, we’re helping create services that are more inclusive, responsive, and effective.
